Lastly, Team Penske NASCAR Cup Collection driver Ryan Blaney built the ultimate car with world-renowned automotive professional photographer Larry Chen at Galpin Car Sports in Los Angeles, California.
“After seeing the first two custom-built Mustangs designed by my teammates Joey Logano and Austin Cindric, Larry and am knew we had to take our construct to the next level, ” said Blaney.
The result of Blaney and Chen’s initiatives is a custom-built Ford Mustang GRAND TOURING inspired by the Ford GT40 cars that ran in the 1966 Daytona 24 hour race. The car had been unveiled earlier this month in the 1000Bulbs. com 500 race from Talladega Superspeedway.
“Larry has an amazing eye for making cars look incredible. I don’t know how, but through the zoom lens of his camera, he’s capable of see things much differently compared to most people, ” said Blaney. He or she added that Chen’s creativity plus passion are seen in every aspect of the vehicle.
The Mustang created by Blaney plus Chen features a Roush supercharged 700-horsepower engine, MagnaFlow Competition Series Cat-Back Performance exhaust system, ST Suspension XTA Coilovers, Wilwood performance brakes, 20″ Fifteen52 Podium – Super Traveling wheels with custom turbofans, plus Yokohama Advan Tires.
The interior from the car received a NASCAR-style controls, NRG Race bucket seats, FIA six-point harness, and a harness pub.
Exterior modifications include a carbon fiber trunk area, deck lid, and Type IN spoiler from Anderson Composites , as well as a Roush Performance front lip and one fourth window covers.
As a bonus, Blaney and Chen consulted digital auto customizer, Khyzyl Saleem, who created the updated version of the traditional Ford livery.
