Pickup truck Mania, California’s Premier truck occasion, has been going strong the last few yrs, and it’s doing nothing but developing. Hosted by Sacramento Raceway, the particular all-truck event features drag race, sled pulling, a show n’ sparkle, and a dyno. There’s also a vendor’s row for those looking for parts, as well as a food truck row to keep everyone well-fed.
For 2019 there was a couple brand new events that were added. There was the “sideshow contest” where owners can do burnouts and donuts in whatever way their imagination could produce, there is also a tough truck competition for individuals who wanted to see just how much air they might get in their diesels. This designed that there was actually 6 occasions in one weekend worth of activity, which created quite the environment!
There were a number of awesome automobiles in the show n’ shine, yet out of all the events, the staple associated with diesel shows; drag racing plus sled pulling were the most well-attended. There were a number of 9, 10, plus 11-second trucks on hand storming over the drag strip. Unlike the activities where drag-only vehicles dominate, they were still full size, full gown diesel trucks.
This sled pull was no less exciting, along with vehicles of all shapes and sizes and energy levels. Everything from military vehicles in order to brand-new trucks to dedicated pullers hooked to the sled. Many stormed so far down the Circle Track which they nearly went around the corner!
Unfortunately this year there was no diesels within the tough truck competition, but we are hoping that next year that will alter. With the price of diesel trucks these days, not many are willing to virtually destroy their own vehicles buy skying off of leaps. But we’re keeping our eye open for a $1, 000 diesel powered for next year!
