Paul Slavik – Long Time Buddy Of NOHVCC And OHV Negotiate Honored By The American Motorcyclist Organization With Lifetime Achievement Award
The American Motorcyclist Association announced last week that Paul Slavik has been recognized with the AMA Dud Perkins Life time Achievement Award. AMA described the particular award as acknowledging “…the best level of service to the AMA in different area of activity. ”
NOHVCC salutes the AMA to get recognizing Paul. NOHVCC’s Executive Movie director, Duane Taylor, said, “Paul has been instrumental in starting NOHVCC, has become a tireless advocate for OHV entertainment, is a great friend, and is someone we ought to all strive to emulate. Slavik took part in AMA-sanctioned competition events within Southern California and the Midwest from your early 1960s to the late eighties. He worked for American Ford for nearly three decades. Among his jobs, he was Honda’s OHV push coordinator and later its nationwide off-highway vehicle coordinator. He upon the market in 2005.
While at Honda, Slavik assisted create the National Off-Highway Automobile Conservation Council in 1990, had been involved the Off Road PALs System and was a member of the Ca OHV Stakeholders. He also offered on the California Roundtable on Entertainment, Parks and Tourism. Slavik offered on the Motorcycle Industry Council’s Property Use Committee and was a good ATV and dirt bike trainer.
Slavik helped create Honda’s Environmental Understanding Center in Colton, Calif., plus was instrumental in the development of the particular San Bernardino National Forest OHV Volunteer Program.
