Find Of The Day: 1968 Dodge Charger 500ci

Most of the muscle car finds all of us list are from the US, yet by happy accident, we discovered this one which from Ebay ALL OF US but is actually located in Melbourne, VIC, Australia.
So , this particular find will probably appeal to our Foreign cousins, more than anything or in case you wanted to import the car.

This 1968 Dodge Charger has been originally a barn find present in the US, which was all original, along with little rust and still running. Whomever had this car over the years did a great job in keeping the corrosion at bay.

The car was handed an initial brush up with a new color job, new vinyl roof, brand new carpet, new seat covers plus new heater radiator.

The present owner pulled the original 383ci engine and transmission and changed it with a 500ci stroker motor and a manual 727 torque trip transmission. this motor has a Skull cap rotating assembly, custom forged Gemstone pistons and file fit bands.
It also houses Edelbrock Victor heads and manifold, a good roller cam with new Morell roller lifters, Smith Bros overhead valves, stainless valves, roller rockers, Holley 1050 dominator carby, TTI 2″ stepped headers, to name but a number of.
All this adds up to 560hp.

The transmission is really a full manual reverse pattern, rollerised, lightened 727 with tranbrake plus TCE convertor and shifts with a TCI outlaw shifter.

The rear has a 8 3/4″ difference with a full spool, heavy duty yoke and 4: 11 gears every from Yukon.
Wheels are steel wheels 15× four & 15× 10’ s along with dog dish hub caps plus M/T SR front tyres plus drag radial 295 30’ t on the back.

Every in, for an original like this one, the def. worth shortlisting.
