PHASE: 2ND  OVERALL: 4TH

Today was definitely tough. All of us started third. We all had a lengthy day today – there were 465 kilometres – that’s a long time for the navigation and it’s a lengthy day in the desert. Unfortunately, Toby had gone down and I stopped just for him for about 20 minutes. I had been just waiting for the helicopter to obtain there. It’s a shame. This individual was definitely up there, battling for the win. It happens. Every single morning when we put our equipment on, things like this can happen and know it. It’s just the risk that individuals are willing to take. Unfortunately, the second 7 days is going to be brutal. Last year we arrived here first, then we finished in the sand dunes. It was clean. But this year we are starting within the dunes and finishing in the stones and the rough, bumpy traces plus river-beds. This week you don’t wish to sleep too much. You want to stay focused. There is three days left, but appear what happened today with a few bikers. Three days left and a great deal can happen still. We are just likely to try and stay focused and make it to the particular finish-line.

STAGE: 3RD OVERALL: 1ST

Today was an extremely hard stage, with many rocks and it had been very long. I started first as well as the idea was to open as fast as possible so the riders wouldn’t be able to cut down time. Toby Price who came out at the rear of me and was battling with me personally in the general standings, unfortunately dropped. This is news that we never wish to hear, that one of the guys continues to be injured – hopefully it is absolutely nothing serious. As far as the stage proceeded to go, I opened throughout the entire exclusive, which was very long and mentally difficult. I didn’ t drip lots of time so I’ m very happy along with today’ s job. There is much less distance until the end. Now it is time to rest and focus on tomorrow’ s stage.

STAGE: 1ST  OVERALL: 2ND

We can say that today was obviously a really hard special stage. Today, this is a year ago since the death associated with my friend Paulo Gonçalves. I directed to do the best possible stage and this success is dedicated to him. I’ mirielle happy with the job done, but Also i have a mixed emotions as in late the stage I found out that will my brother had fallen and obtained injured. I found out that he’ s fine, so that has calmed me down, but it’ s i9000 been a strange day nevertheless. You will find three more days left plus everything could change, so you need to be focused and give your all on the day-to-day basis.

STAGE: 7TH  OVERALL: 5TH

Today was a very difficult day and a very difficult, dangerous phase. I think I was doing quite well in the beginning but I fell in a dangerous area and took a strike to the leg. It is a strong strike, but I able or achieve the end of the stage, which was essential. Let’s see how the day goes the next day, as the Dakar is far from more than: there are still three days left.
