Cambridge MOTHER warns drivers of the dangers associated with burning gas, diesel and ethanol
Cambridge Massachusetts has recently began placing high visibility yellow stickers upon fuel pumps warning drivers from the dangers of burning fossil fuels and also ethanol. The label, somewhat similar to the warnings used on tobacco items, warns of human health concerns plus climate change. What interests all of us most here is the future implications. A new research released by the Paris based Company for Economic Co-Operation and Advancement states that “non-exhaust emissions can soon overtake vehicle exhaust since the leading source of fine particles launched into the air by road visitors. ” Non-exhaust particle emissions happen to be largely ignored by environmental companies but as electric vehicles be a little more and more prevalent the need to monitor non-exhaust emissions has become increasingly relevant.
