If we had to pick one automobile from the current General Motors profile to take Christmas tree shopping, we’d probably choose a pickup truck like the Chevy Silverado 1500, or perhaps one of its lengthy roof SUVs like the Chevy Suburban , as they vehicles have the capability required to weather the winter storm and are large sufficient to stow a Christmas woods on. On the other hand, if there’s one particular vehicle in the automaker’s lineup that will we’d probably avoid for this job, it’d be the C8 Corvette .
Aftermarket wheel manufacturer Vossen doesn’t seem overly concerned with functionality when it comes to Christmas tree shopping. The business recently released a video on the Instagram page wishing its social media marketing followers a very Merry Christmas, which usually showed a modified C8 Corvette Stingray coupe with a full-size Xmas tree strapped to its detachable hardtop roof. The short video then shows the matte dark Vette taking off on the highway at substantial speed.
“Not one pine hook was lost in the making of the video, ” the accompanying Instagram description for the video reads. “Happy Holidays from all of us at Vossen Wheels”
We do not have complete details on the modified C8 Corvette in the video, although it seems to feature a matte black vinyl cover (or perhaps paint? ) together with aftermarket Vossen wheels and an entire body kit with a custom rear lips spoiler, side skirts and front side splitter. It may also have an aftermarket exhaust of some sort, as the vehicle’s regular 6. 2L LT2 V8 motor sounds particularly aggressive in this brief social media clip.
