This particular DIY ' V12' Is Made From 3 Lada Engines

If you want to scratch a V12 itch for little money, there are plenty of vehicles out there to get the job done. But for the people at the rear of YouTube channel Garage54 , buying an old THE CAR 7-series clearly isn’t interesting sufficient.

The Russian class wizards decided their old Gaz Volga needed a V12 hair transplant. And that ‘V12’ was to be crafted from three Lada inline-fours. Obviously.

The team fabricated the brace to hold the extra two motors on top of the unit mounted in the motor bay, with a series of pulleys machine made and fitted to enable a connection between three via many belts.

With a custom cooling system and synchronised throttles, the whole setup seemed to function remarkably well. Most of the time, at least.

It was even capable of shipping some decent straight-line performance, regardless of being run on snow. What’s probably most impressive of all, though, is definitely how the front axle survived getting three heavy Lada engines left on top of it.
