In the autumn of 2014 General Motors made its fans happy introducing two renewed SUV’s at once. These models are the Chevrolet Tahoe and the GMC Yukon. The new generations may really be named Americans because they have clear traits of the US car industry. First of all, typically American lines can be found in the Tahoe. This model, which was launched in 1992, has undergone changes and improvements in its stylish appearance for four times, and even had a special lengthened modification called Suburban. According to some information, under its hood the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe will have a 5.3-liter inline-eight engine producing up to 350 hp and over 620 N-m of torque. With this power unit the car will be able to accelerate from rest to 100 km/h in 6 seconds. The engine’s fuel consumption is rated at 15 l/100 km for city driving and 10 l/100 km on the highway. While the current model is equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission, the new Tahoe will get an eight-speed automatic gearbox with rear-wheel-drive for the base trim and all-wheel-drive as an option.
